Job Description

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a leading law firm to find an experienced Docketing Specialist. This position is located in California and requires a detail-oriented professional to manage and oversee the docketing process efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely docket entries while ensuring compliance with all court rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the docketing system, ensuring all deadlines and court dates are accurately entered and monitored.
  • Review and process incoming mail and court documents to ensure all relevant dates are captured.
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff to confirm deadlines and resolve any discrepancies in the docketing system.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents as required by attorneys.
  • Conduct regular audits of the docketing system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to new team members on the docketing process and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Docketing Specialist or similar role in a legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of court rules and filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in docketing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  • Hybrid schedule - option for as little as 1 day a month in the office
